These "songs" are unique creations that incorporate a
blend of healing techniques that I have acquired from over a decade
of experience with science, music, and healing. Most, if not all, of
them are unedited and were created spontaneously using affirmations, toning, healing intention, and visualizations. In some songs each
track is recorded independently of the others, creating interesting
effects with consonance and dissonance and more of an unpredictable
rhythmic flow.
Most songs combine three main elements:
1.
The toning component to these pieces creates an altered
energetic/brainwave state that is similar to a meditation state. In
this state the brain and energy field is open and receptive to input.
In neurological terms it induces a state of plasticity.
2.
Words/affirmations spoken during this state can bypass the conscious
mind and affect the subconscious mind. The subconscious is where our
thought and belief "programs" reside. If we want to change core
beliefs and thought patterns, we must access and alter the
subconscious. Because the words are spoken in conjunction with toning,
and are spoken in some cases in overlapping tracks that are hard to
follow with the conscious mind, they penetrate to the subconscious
level. It takes about 21 days to change the patterning of the
subconscious in a way that will impact the conscious experience,
therefore I recommend listening to the tracks at least twice a day for
21 days.
A note on affirmations: I wasn't a fan of affirmations until I discovered some "missing links" that make a significant difference in their efficacy. Affirmations are most effective when used in conjunction with techniques that help alter the state of the subconscious. I also find affirmations to be most useful when the wording is about an experience/feeling instead of a state of being. For example if you do not feel loved, saying "I feel loved every day" is more effective than saying "I am loved every day" because the second affirmation doesn't address the problem of not feeling loved. Likewise for lack of confidence saying "I feel confident in all that I do" is more effective than saying "I am confident in all that I do" etc.
3. The visualization process is combined with
shamanic techniques to essentially "infuse" the sounds with archetypal
energies and healing intention. So each song carries the power of that
healing intention. For example the love meditation was infused with
the archetypal spirit of the rose, and the healing intention of inducing the experience of love.
Tips for listening to songs: Focus on the tones instead of the words. Listen in as receptive and open a state as possible, one way to do this is to imagine the sound being absorbed into the body. Listen as frequently as possible. Sometimes after a certain amount of plays the song will feel aversive, this is good! It means the song has met some resistance from the program it intends to change. Stick with it. When the song is neutral again it is "done" and you can stop listening to it, or play it when you want maintenance. Listen for at least 21 days. Sometimes after that point the messages coming up for healing are different and a new song can be started at that time.
Below is a version of a Buddhist Forgiveness Prayer that I made into a melody. Click the link to download.
"If I have harmed anyone, in any way, either knowingly or unknowingly, through my own confusions, I ask forgiveness. If anyone has harmed me, in any way, either knowingly or unknowingly, through their own confusions, I forgive them. And if there is a situation I am not yet ready to forgive, I forgive myself for that. For all the ways that I harm myself, negate, doubt, belittle myself, judge or be unkind to myself, through my own confusions, I forgive myself."
